Thomas S. Martucci, MAI, CCIM is a Partner of Edge Realty Advisors. He is a native Floridian that spent much of his youth in South Florida, later graduated from the Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a concentration in Real Estate. He now resides in Central Florida. Living in these different regions has provided Thomas intimate knowledge of Florida’s various markets and has proven to be advantageous as a real estate appraiser.
After college, Thomas joined Clayton, Roper and Marshall, Inc. in Orlando where he worked for 4 ½ years. Over this period, Thomas achieved his Certified General Appraiser license and became a Senior Appraiser for the firm. Thereafter, Thomas took a Senior Associate position with Grubb & Ellis and eventually joined Capstone Valuation Advisors as an Associate Vice President. In his first two years with Capstone, Thomas earned his MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute, was awarded Capstone’s Appraiser of the Year in 2013 and promoted to Managing Director of Florida. Thomas became one of Capstone’s “go to” appraisers for national portfolio assignments, working on hundreds of properties of various asset types throughout the Southeast Region of the U.S. Thomas was also the Co-Practice Leader of Capstone’s Convenience and Fuel Retailing Practice Group.
In 2015, Thomas partnered with Nicholas Pilz, MAI and Ira Bellinkoff, MAI, to form Edge Realty Advisors, a multi-facet company helping clients with consulting, valuation, compliance review and other real estate needs. The trio provide a dynamic group with extensive experience appraising complex assets, multi-state portfolio management, nation-wide compliance review and litigation support, with active involvement in Appraisal Institute government relations.
In addition to his appraisal practice, Thomas is an active member of his church, serving the Helping Hands ministry and as a mentor for the Sons of Christ Mentoring Ministry. As well, he and his wife host a community group at their home for “young marrieds with children”.
Thomas has been married to his wife, Emily, since 2009. Together, they have two daughters, Audrey and Ansley, and a son, Jacob! He and his wife feel blessed that she is able to be home with their children. In fact, Emily’s tireless effort as a wife, mother and home school teacher reminds Thomas that appraisal work is not so bad! When the day settles or the weekend arrives, Thomas loves to spend time with his family.
Somewhere between work, church activities and time with family, Thomas loves to be on the water fishing. He has fished all over Florida and has quite a few fish tales! During Florida’s brutal-winter season, Thomas will put away the fishing rods and cheer on his football teams or finish up the long-awaiting, home-improvement project.
